Dear All,

I am at a truck stop in Baton Rouge. I camped nearby last night. I took a shower here last night, and I'm feeling really good. The folks are really friendly. My friend, Keith, from Baton Rouge came down to see me. We had a great visit!

There is this bridge right here that prevents supertankers from coming through, so, as I start out today, I don't know how this type of ocean traffic will affect the river and my progress. They say they put out really big wakes.

I will meet Mom and Dad on Thursday or Friday in New Orleans. I guess you won't be hearing from me again until I get home.
